Burial at Sea aboard the USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG-60) on April 18, 2012 just south of Oahu, Hawaii.
Robert Luke was a very good man. He was the person who always stepped up to help others in need. I will never forget what a selfless man he was towards others. I can only imagine what his family has been through, as his death was unexpected. It definitely was a shock to his other family - his coworkers.
From Broadside Blog: "This video was made public just before Memorial Day by his widow. It is the fitting last voyage of AGC (SW/AW) Robert Luke – we all knew him simply as Luke. The ceremony was conducted with pride by the crew of USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) just south of Oahu.
If you have never witnessed a burial at sea, this is a good example of how it should be done.
Rest in peace, Luke. "
