Minute with Maxwell - Caring

There is this Leadership Series called "Minute with Maxwell" where you can sign up to receive short leadership video topics from John Maxwell.  Literally a minute or less videos.

One of the top supervisors in my office who I highly respect forwards out the videos/topics of the ones he really likes, and I have saved all the ones that have really touched my leadership bone and got my excited.

Today's minute is about Caring.  Pretty powerful, helpful, for leaders:

It really is only about a minute long, so check it out.

Powerful Video Clip About Diversity

I'm in awe how important and powerful this 5 minute vide clip is about how to treat others:

It's an inspirational video about belonging and inclusion from the United States Air Force Academy.

It speaks to what it looks like to champion Diversity under difficult circumstances.

Lt Gen Jay Silveria, Superintendent of the US Air Force Academy, addresses students on the use of racial slurs within dorms for the Prepartory School.  He urges anyone who cannot treat others with dignity and respect to "get out."  Story:http://bit.ly/2ftp3cV

Extremely Touching Words from Dustin Hoffman

I see things all the time on Pinterest and Facebook.

Click.  Read.

or

Click.  View.

Then you go back to perusing FB or then you go on to other things in your life.

This time, it was different.

Click.  View.  React.  Can't believe what I'm hearing.  Can't wait to share.  Very moving.

Here is the intro from Upworthy.com:

Dustin Hoffman Breaks Down Crying Explaining Something That Every Woman Sadly Already Experienced

Back in the day, for those of you younger folk, Dustin Hoffman made a movie called "Tootsie." It was a hilarious and touching movie about an actor who can't get a gig, decides to become a woman to see if it helps, and scores a role on a soap opera. Hilarity ensued. But it was more than just a comedy. Here's why.

Computer Generated Video of Hudson River Plane Landing

Fascinating computer generated black box video of Hudson River plane landing!

I admit, it made me cry at the end to know how many lives were saved and what could have potentially happened; the Captain is a true hero!  The video is impressive.

Is Heaven Real?

This is awesome.  And very reassuring.  My Mom was very scared of death and what happened to her afterwards.  This makes me feel at peace, knowing that when you die, you feel at peace and feel immense love.

I HIGHLY recommend this video!

Dr. Mary C. Neal shares an account of her heavenly journey after drowning in a kayak accident.

Video Clip: Interesting Approach to Tsunami Survival

This is a very cool documentary about a "new" concept about tsunami survival, if you happen to have time to watch this video.  I found it very interesting.

Here is the synopsis:

The March 2011 tsunami in Japan caused death and devastation on a shocking scale. In one town, however, survival rates were unusually high and hundreds were saved thanks to a different approach to tsunami survival called Tendenko.

Tendenko prioritizes individual action and self-preservation - and yet such thinking is anathema to Japanese culture.

As communities begin to rebuild their lives, this film explores one family's remarkable story of survival and looks at what lessons can be learned from the disaster.

Could Tendenko offer a better solution for the future of both Japan and other tsunami-prone regions?

Burial at Sea

One of my coworkers passed away in Oct 2010.  This is a moving video of his burial at sea:

Burial at Sea aboard the USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG-60) on April 18, 2012 just south of Oahu, Hawaii.

Robert Luke was a very good man.  He was the person who always stepped up to help others in need.  I will never forget what a selfless man he was towards others.  I can only imagine what his family has been through, as his death was unexpected.  It definitely was a shock to his other family - his coworkers.

From Broadside Blog:  "This video was made public just before Memorial Day by his widow. It is the fitting last voyage of AGC (SW/AW) Robert Luke – we all knew him simply as Luke. The ceremony was conducted with pride by the crew of USS PAUL HAMILTON (DDG 60) just south of Oahu.
If you have never witnessed a burial at sea, this is a good example of how it should be done.
Rest in peace, Luke. "

BoatLift - Video about 9/11

Get your hankeys.  Very moving untold stories of resilience during 9/11.

Tom Hanks narrates the epic story of the 9/11 boatlift that evacuated half a million people from the stricken piers and seawalls of Lower Manhattan.

Birds Frolicking!

These birds were frolicking one day in a little puddle they found.  They were so cute trying to bathe themselves with friends, even with cars driving by.

This intersection was located two blocks from the Heart Hospital that my Mom was in at the time.  I love the outdoors because of my Mom!
